Oshogatsu Celebration @ Morikami!!

It was Japanese New Year celebration. The garden was awesome; the only problem was the absent of sand in the rock gardens; and certain individuals stacked pebbles on the lava rocks in the memorial grade. You are suppose to stack the rocks; it represents your own chi. It is disrespectful to stack on the lava rocks, it dishonors the remembered. the graden for the rest was well maintained; the had an excellent bonsai tree collection.

There was one hilarious guy I overheard telling his kids the the Japanese thought the the island of Okinawa was sacred to them. They probably wanted us to destroy the damned island so that there would be nothing left. Don't get me wrong the Japan is a cool place; i loved it when i lived there. But just like every other country in the world there are far more racist then we are in the states. The Japanese are probably the most raciest society I have ever lived in.

The festival how ever was nonexistent; not even the goldfish catching game; its really addictive you pay yen for the chance to net a goldfish with the net made of a sheet of rice paper. And just when you think you won you go home and the fish die on you. I's great fun and a great waste of money. They did have hamburgers and hot dogs; that was great because its impossible to get those any play else right?
